At LifeCore Yoga, we empower students to nourish, transform and unite mind, body and spirit through Yoga practice. LifeCore Yoga classes meet the needs of beginner or advanced students. Our unique yoga practice is based on intuition and tradition. No matter the age, weight, strength or flexibility level of the student, LifeCore classes are for everyone. Our classes are based on Vinyasa yoga, a flowing fitness-based approach to Yoga aimed at strengthening the mind-body connection. It is a combination of breathing experiences and specifically-sequenced postures which detoxifies, builds strength, releases tension, and increases endurance and flexibility in the entire body. Come move and breathe with us in a wide variety of classes: Gentle Yoga, Kindlelight Yoga, LifeCore 1, LifeCore Mixed Level, Yoga to Tone, LifeCore Barre and Yin Yoga. We offer non-heated and Hot Yoga classes. Serving the communities of and around: North Oaks, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, Arden Hills, White Bear Lake, Hugo, Roseville, Little Canada, New Brighton, Lino Lakes, Centerville, Mounds View, Spring Lake Park and Blaine.

Experience the benefits of activating the parasympathetic nervous system (calming response in the body) through Yoga Nidra. Overexposure and prolonged stress response increases risk of numerous health issues. Learn and experience how Yoga Nidra supports our ability to reduce stress and ease the negative effects of high levels of stress.

Class begins with gentle yoga movements to prepare the body for stillness. Next, students will be guided into a supported posture to establish a deep sense of rest and release in the body. Finally, Dawn will take you on a Yoga Nidra journey. Yoga Nidra, yogic sleep, is an immensely powerful practice and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. This is for any level of practitioner and will help to develop a deeper understanding of Yoga Nidra while increasing the ability to relax, quiet the mind, and cultivate inner peace through personal understanding and growth.

This candlelit class is for anyone wishing to experience different meditation practices and yoga nidra, including beginners. Learn to quiet your mind and cultivate inner peace using simple, effective techniques. Each class includes a brief, gentle yoga practice designed to prepare the body and mind for relaxed concentration.

This session will explore guided imagery, a type of focused meditation involving concentrating on a specific object, sound, or experience. Caitlin will guide you through a visualization and pranayama exercise that combines deep breathing, guided imagery, and autosuggestion. It uses a dynamic focal point to help redirect wandering thoughts and maintain steady breathing. Once you learn this relaxation method, you’ll be able to use it to reduce stress anytime you feel tense.

You’ll then be treated to a restorative guided imagery yoga nidra journey while resting in a supported savasana. Yoga nidra means “yogic sleep” and can be practiced as a body-centered meditation. Yin Yoga is a quiet and reflective practice targeting the hips, groin, spine, low back, and shoulders. It is often referred to as a quiet practice as poses are done sitting or laying down. Students are guided mindfully into poses to hold for a few minutes. Yin Yoga supports flexibility and helps quiet the mind leading to deep and sustained meditation. Yin Yoga practice is an excellent compliment to the more active yang styles of yoga. Yin Yoga nourishes the body and quiets the mind.
