🌿 Introducing: Fact Friday with Buckeye Hospice Care 🌿

There are so many misconceptions about hospice—and we’re here to change that.

Each Friday, we’ll be sharing a common myth about hospice care, followed by the truth, based on years of experience, compassion, and dedication to patient-centered care.

✨ Today’s myth:

🧠 Myth: Hospice is only for people who are actively dying.

✅ Fact: Hospice care is appropriate for individuals with a life expectancy of six months or less if their illness follows its normal course. The truth is—patients often live longer and with more comfort when hospice is involved earlier.

Hospice isn’t about giving up—it’s about embracing support, comfort, and dignity during a challenging season of life. Early involvement allows us to support not only the patient, but their loved ones too.

Let’s change the way we think about end-of-life care. 🧡

Everyone had the opportunity to do an interactive, “real life” training session with Lauren, followed by a Q&A session with the whole team to further discuss the best ways to support and understand our loved ones living with dementia.
