September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.
Every life holds value, and every story matters. 🩵

Talking about su***de can feel heavy ,but silence makes the burden even heavier. By opening the conversation, we remind those who are struggling that they are not alone, and that hope and healing are possible.

🤍Here are some ways we can all take part:
• Check in on your loved ones, even the ones who “seem fine.”
• Listen without judgment.
• Share resources that can save lives.

If you are struggling, please know you don’t have to carry it alone. Support is out there, and reaching out is a sign of strength.

📞 If you or someone you know is in crisis, dial 988 — the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7.

Together, we can create a community rooted in compassion, connection, and hope. 🩵

✏️🍎 Back-to-School Success Starts at Home 🍎✏️

Transitions can be tough for little ones, but with a few mindful routines, you can make the school year smoother for everyone.

Tips for Parents of Young Kids:
1️⃣ Practice the Routine Early – Start wake-up and bedtime routines a week before school starts.

2️⃣ Create a Launch Pad – Keep backpacks, shoes, and supplies in one spot to cut down morning chaos.

3️⃣ Build Connection Rituals – A morning high-five or lunchbox note can make goodbyes easier.

4️⃣ Validate Feelings – Let your child know it’s okay to feel nervous and excited.

5️⃣ Model Calm – Kids pick up on your energy. Deep breaths together go a long way.

💡 Remember: a calm, consistent home base gives kids the confidence to thrive at school!

We’re here to support you, your kids, and your family this school year 🩵.

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) and bipolar disorder share many symptoms, like mood swings and impulsive behavior. But they’re actually different conditions. BPD is a personality disorder, while bipolar disorder is a mood disorder.

With BPD, mood symptoms change drastically within the same day or from hour to hour. One day, everything can be fine, and the next day, everything can be awful. Treatment for BPD often combines medications with therapy.

Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder that causes extreme shifts between depression and mania. Similar to BPD, bipolar disorder treatment involves a combination of medication and therapy, but with more emphasis on medications to stabilize mood.

Both BPD and bipolar disorder come with unique sets of challenges. One isn’t worse than the other. They’re both lifelong mental health conditions that require medication and therapy. It’s also possible to be diagnosed with both BPD and bipolar disorder. If you recognize any of the signs or symptoms of BPD or bipolar disorder, make an appointment with your primary care provider or a behavioral health specialist.
