Through my own journey of discovering a whole-food, plant-based diet, I was able to naturally treat many of my ailments including rosacea, energy loss, and severe migraines. Your weight is not a knowledge problem.

You have read the books, done the protocols, eaten the breakfast for 14 days at a time, and watched it fall apart in week 3.

The information was never what was missing.

Twelve years in clinical practice has shown me the same pattern:

Knowing is layer 1.
Doing is layer 2.
Becoming the woman who does it on her own without a project is layer 3.

Layer 3 is the entire reason I built my practice the way I did.

Restriction —> Cravings —> Guilt —> Reset.

"Monday I'll start again" is stage 4.
"this time I'll be better" is stage 1.

The loop runs in 4 to 14 day cycles. Most women have been in it for years.

The exit is recognizing the loop and stepping off it.
That's the actual work!

Perimenopause is the most profitable confusion in women’s health right now.

Add up the last 12 months…
The supplements TikTok said would help.
The probiotic that didn’t move your bloating.
The collagen that didn’t move your skin.
The hormone cream from Instagram.
The 2pm energy drink.
The diet program you ran for 4 weeks.
The gym that drafted every month while you went 6 times all year.
The doctor visit where you left with one lab order and a prescription.

For most women, it’s over a thousand dollars a year. For some, three or four times that.

The system was designed this way. Products that promise outcomes measurable in your body and unprovable on the bottle. Practitioners who weren’t trained in the root cause.

There’s a difference between collecting information… and changing your body.

Most people don’t see it.

They save the info, organize it, learn (or at least intend to…)

But the body doesn’t respond to what you saved.
It responds to what you actually do consistently for it.

I see this all the time.
Smart committed women…
Still stuck.

Because nothing consistent has actually landed yet.

At some point, if you really care for the results the real thing you need to do is deciding what you’re actually going to follow… and doing it long enough to see a response.

Most people assume no results means they need to try harder.

That’s not what I see.

When a client doesn’t respond the way she usually would in the first 5–10 days…
That’s a sign for me to look deeper.

Because there’s always something underneath driving it.

In this case, it wasn’t her effort. We worked together and she followed every recommendation I gave her.
It was her gut.

Imbalanced, high inflammation and reactions to foods she was eating every day.

Once we addressed that, everything shifted.

This is the part most people miss.

They keep adjusting calories, workouts, timing…
without ever checking what the body is actually dealing with.

And then they wonder why nothing moves.

I had a Master’s in nutrition.

Board-certified. Licensed. Every credential the field could give.

And I missed it on myself.

Tender breasts before every cycle.
Energy that came and went.
Periods getting unpredictable.

I went to my doctor. She ran labs.
“Everything is normal.”

I left knowing she was wrong.
I just didn’t know how to prove it.

By 40, it had escalated.
Exhausted in a way sleep didn’t fix. A belly I didn’t recognize. Standing in my closet saying no to invitations because nothing fit.

And here’s the hardest part…. I told no one.

I was the expert. I couldn’t stand the idea of anyone knowing I hadn’t figured my own body out.

I lost months to that silence.

Until I stumbled onto one word: Perimenopause.

That’s when I realized something I couldn’t unsee.

My graduate program covered nutrition for every life stage… Pregnancy. Lactation. Childhood. Aging.

Every stage except this one.
Most of the research the field back then was built on men.

Everything I’d been taught suddenly made sense and didn’t matter at the same time.

I stopped fighting my body and started supporting it with the right plan I created for myself.

10 pounds came off without much effort.
Energy came back.
I stopped avoiding mirrors.

And I decided no other woman should lose months to silence the way I did.

That’s why my practice exists.

The 9pm kitchen snacking has been blamed on every wrong thing…
Willpower.
Snacks in the house.
Not enough sleep.
Not enough discipline.
Not enough of some mysterious quality other women seem to have.

It’s none of those!

After a decade of working with women in perimenopause and beyond, I can tell you the 9pm snacking has two drivers and both of them live outside the kitchen.

Driver #1 is your day.
If breakfast was coffee, lunch was a salad because it felt “clean,” and you ran from task to task until 7pm, your body arrives at 9pm underfed. Underfed in a slower, accumulated way that your brain reads as a threat.

Driver #2 is dopamine. In perimenopause, dopamine signaling drops. Your brain starts looking for quick hits to feel okay again.

Food is THE most reliable quick hit your brain knows. It works every single time.

This is a combination of physiology and a nervous system that’s been running on low for months!

Closing the kitchen at 8pm doesn’t touch either one of these drivers.

The fix is a fully balanced day and an evening that gives your nervous system the break it needs.
