Everytime you show up for yourself you start to rewrite your story, you start to glow differently when your confidence is fueled by the belief within yourself. By pushing through that threshold of fear that tells you "I'm not flexible enough", "I cant shut my brain off", "I am too scared to try". By not listening to to the things that tell you that you "can't"...you start to heal and healing is the end of conflict within yourself.
Is yoga hard? Yep, if it doesnt challenge you it wont transform you. The best part? Yoga allows you make it what you need. Come to class and your exhausted? You modify and take child pose and slow your rhythm down. Need a deeper push? Intensify your vinyasas or take deeper postures to challenge the body and mind. Instructors are a guide. It's your practice to be able to shift to your needs for the day. All you have to do is show up for yourself and feel yourself listen to your needs and when you do this; you take that confidence and connection off the mat in your day to day life. Recognizing when to push and when you pull back and rest.
Yoga is not a fitness workout. It is not a come, sweat, go home. It is much more than that. It is a mindset practice. It will show you your shadows, put your ego on a platter, humble you before you have gotten done with the warm up and have you floating, connected to your whole energetic body by shavasana. Yoga doesn't care how athletic you are, how much you lift, how tone your body is...Yoga cares about connecting you to your authentic true self. Your light within. That is what showing up for yourself means. Dont abandon yourself...commit to yourself.
