đ Pregnant in the Heat? Hereâs How to Stay Cool & Hydrated! đ¤°đ§
Being pregnant in hot weather can be rough! Your body is already doing a lot, and summer heat can take a toll quickly. Here are some simple tips to help you stay comfortable, safe, and hydrated during the warmer months:
đ§ Drink up!
Aim for 8â12 cups of water a day (or more if youâre sweating). Try adding lemon, mint, or berries to make it more refreshing.
đ Dress for the weather
Go for light, breathable fabrics like cotton and loose-fitting clothing. A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses are your summer best friends!
âď¸ Avoid peak heat times
If possible, stay indoors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If youâre out, find shade and rest often.
đ Cool down often
Use fans, take cool showers, or place damp cloths on your neck and wrists. Even sitting with your feet in a bucket of cool water can help!
â ď¸ Know the warning signs
If you feel dizzy, faint, overly tired, or nauseousâdonât wait. Sit down somewhere cool, drink water, and rest.
Your well-being matters, mama! Taking small steps to beat the heat helps keep you and baby safe. đźđ
