We want to inform our patients that as of September 1st, United Healthcare made changes to the policies for all Medicare Advantage Plans. Our patients with UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage will now require Prior Authorization for Outpatient Therapy and Chiropractic services. This change includes Medicare Advantage Group Plans, which locally affect our Union Pacific Railroad Retirees. Our office will continue to be here for all of these members, but with this change in policies, your insurance may cause delays or limit our ability to carry through your physical therapy plan of care.

If you’ve had a mentor, you know how much they can impact your life.

In 2008-2009 Aaron Wenburg was part of an elite sports medicine physical therapy residency program at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He and his fellow resident conducted gait research, taught PT students at the University of LaCrosse, and went through a rigorous training program.

This week his mentor and retired program coordinator, Scott Straker and his wife (also a retired PT professor) came through North Platte and visited the clinic. It was great to once again tap into the couple’s insight and experience in the industry.

Thank you to all the mentors out there. You make us all better.
