And we are off!

Where tales of yesteryear convene,
Hard earned patina is the sheen.
From soldiers' cheer to pioneers' quest,
In this place, history finds its rest.

Beyond a cornfield’s golden waves,
Past a creek’s cool, gentle glades.
You'll find buildings of days long past,
Where memories of old are steadfast.

A cabin where the first settlers stayed,
A jail where law and order played.
A chapel where prayers were quietly shared,
And a bookmaker’s studio where paper was pared.

A post office that carried news afar,
A homestead house that stood as a star.
A general store of goods galore,
All part of a tale that whispers lore.

What binds these places, near and dear?
Reflect on the past, let the answer appear.
A place that echoes our heritage’s pride,
On these grounds, your art does hide.

Seek the porch where stories are spun,
By rusted cans from a past milk run.
Let the clues your pathway guide,
To the treasure on this historic ride.

Please leave a blurb here when you find it!

Reminder tonight is the first part of the July Group Challenge. July 19 and 20th. We will start at the top of Dodge Hill at 2040, move out and ruck for an hour. Then do the second part of the ruck beginning at 0600 on Saturday from the same location.
In honor of July 4th, we will remember all that the American flag stands for as we look to it during this Star Spangled Rucking Challenge. With flag in hand, on your ruck, or at the start/end point, your first ruck will start before sundown and continue through “twilight’s last gleaming.” Your second ruck will begin in the darkness of night and end “by the dawn’s early light.”

This is what the patch looks like. Cya tonight!

July Group Challenge. July 19 and 20th. Tentative location Potters pasture.
There are two options for this ruck challenge
Regular: (As I am just getting into shape this is the one I will be doing)
The rucks are to be completed back-to-back, though you are allowed to sleep between them. That means, go perform the evening ruck, starting before sunset and ending when it gets dark. Go home, get some sleep. The following morning you will wake up while it is still dark and ruck from darkness through sunrise.
Advanced:
The rucks should be performed as one ruck. Start before sunset and continue rucking until sunrise.
Patch is below.
