This is a great source for information on eye health and what constitutes an urgent or emergent eye care need during this time.

We are committed to keeping our doors open as long as possible to see urgent and emergent eye issues. This may include things like macular degeneration, glaucoma, eye injuries, infections, or retinal detachments to name a few. We are also offering telehealth visits when possible, so that you can see and talk to me without having to come into the office (where appropriate).

In this time of crisis, it is my commitment to be there for my patients and to keep urgent/emergent eye issues OUT of the ER and their PCPs office, so that those people can focus on the task at hand, which is containing and battling COVID-19.

We continue to work with a very limited (but very dedicated) staff in order to keep staff and patients healthy. We continue to wipe everything down after every patient. I and my staff are wearing masks to protect you.

Stay healthy everyone and .

Hope everyone is staying healthy! Just wanted to post a quick update - we have significantly cut down on the number of patients we are seeing. Surgery from here on out will only be urgent/emergent until the surge of this coronavirus has passed us. This is as much about protecting patients and staff as it is about conserving mask/gowns/gloves for our front line healthcare workers going forward.

I am currently only seeing urgent or emergent patients that need to be seen. We have pushed back all routine visits. Unless I get sick, I intend to always be available to see patients that need to be seen, but for right now we appreciate everyone's understanding that it is in EVERYONE's best interest to STAY HOME as much as possible. To try to conserve valuable resources as well as prevent as many people as possible from getting sick.

I for one am going to choose to be grateful for the extra time at home with my kids. But hoping to be back in full swing soon!

As of Monday, we are not longer going to allow family members to accompany patients unless they're absolutely needed. The fewer people we have in our waiting rooms, the safer we can be for staff and patients. This is in line with CDC recommendations. Thanks everyone for your understanding during these crazy times!

In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak and concerns surrounding this, I wanted to take a minute to let our patients know what we're doing to try to protect everyone.

We are wiping down all hard surfaces that are touched by patients twice daily, this includes doorknobs, doors, counters, chairs, anything that people touch. We are asking everyone who has been sick with a fever in the last week to please reschedule for another time. We are making sure to wash our hands before and after all patient encounters. We are asking anyone with conjunctivitis who needs to be seen to go to the ER where we can properly contain them if necessary.

We will continue to see patients as scheduled for the foreseeable future. But we do ask that if you feel at all unwell, you please stay at home. Whether you've been out of the country or not. Do not come to your appointment at our office, or go anywhere else for that matter. If you feel you need to seek medical attention, please go to the ER, but call them first and let them know you're coming so they can decide if they need to be ready when you get there.

As of right now we have plenty of hand sanitizer and hand soap to last for quite awhile.

It is important we all do what we can to help contain this awful virus so that we can prevent overloading our healthcare system!

Even if you have lenses you’re supposed to be able to sleep in, please don’t do it!

Even if you have lenses you’re supposed to be able to sleep in, please don’t do it!

Do you wear contact lenses? Wearing contacts while sleeping—whether unintentionally or occasionally—can increase the risk of serious eye infections 6 to 8 times. Learn more: http://bit.ly/2MqfMEN
