As our new Great Plains Health Sports & Therapy Center nears completion at the corner of Jeffers and Leota, we are pleased to spotlight one of our outstanding physical therapists: Breezie Trytek, PT, DPT.
Breezie joined the Great Plains Health Sports & Therapy team six years ago after beginning her career in Kansas City. She holds certifications in functional dry needling and fascial movement taping. She primarily focuses on orthopedics and sports therapy while also treating geriatric and pediatric patients.
As the opening of our new facility approaches, Breezie, along with the rest of the talented team at Great Plains Health Sports & Therapy, is eagerly preparing for the transition!
Breezie’s passion for physical therapy began at a young age, after her grandmother suffered a massive stroke. Watching her grandmother relearn how to walk, talk and eat sparked a lifelong interest in the healing power of therapy. Years later, after injuring her back during her junior year of high school, Breezie worked closely with her school’s ATC and PT, an experience that reaffirmed her calling.
“Thanks to physical therapy, I was able to return to playing sports and lifting weights. I’ve always been interested in science and the movement of the human body. Playing sports my entire life, I knew physical therapy would be a perfect fit,” Breezie says.
Outside of work, Breezie enjoys life with her husband, Trey, their five-month-old daughter, Breece, and their two dogs. As a family, they love spending time outdoors, walking, biking, cooking, baking, working out and playing sports.
Just as her grandmother’s physical therapist was a beacon of hope, Breezie now offers that same support and encouragement to her own patients. Her compassion, expertise, and caring spirit make her a beloved and respected member of the Great Plains Health team.
Thank you, Breezie, for your dedication to putting the patient first — always!
