Since 2001, Dr. Adam Greenberg has been the go-to dermatologist in Venice and North Port. Dr. Greenberg is a double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon, with a wide range of expertise from skin cancer detection and surgery to treating a wide range of skin diseases and cosmetic dermatology. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, Dr. Greenberg attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He earned his medical degree in 1992. Dr. Greenberg interned at Hahnemann University Hospital, later serving a two-year fellowship in dermatology wound healing at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Miami in 1998. Throughout his education and career, Dr. Greenberg has been acknowledged for his academic excellence and is widely published in peer-reviewed journals. Jessica is a nurse practitioner who was personally trained by Dr. Greenberg and is well versed in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology. She graduated from Florida State University with her Doctorate in Nursing and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Dermatology Nurses’ Association. Her experience in cosmetic dermatology includes acne and acne scars treatment, BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Juvéderm®, and Restylane® Dermal Fillers. She is also experienced in advanced laser and device procedures, including Lumenis M22 IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and VBeam.

𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵

August is National Psoriasis Awareness Month, aiming to raise public awareness about psoriasis, educate individuals, and dispel myths surrounding this condition. According to a survey conducted by the National Psoriasis Foundation, the following insights were revealed:

- **71%** identified psoriasis as a significant issue in their daily lives.
- Over **50%** reported that psoriasis impacts their emotional well-being.
- **48%** stated that psoriasis makes them feel uncomfortable in public.
- **52%** avoid public swimming pools due to their condition.
- **37%** have reported avoiding social activities.

For children, psoriasis can have both physical and emotional repercussions that they may struggle to cope with. Alarmingly, nearly **50%** of children with psoriasis have experienced bullying from peers, leading to anxiety, social isolation, and, in severe cases, a decline in academic performance.
