This Halloween, while you're out trick-or-treating and enjoying all those delicious treats, don’t forget to take care of your teeth! Here's a few tips and tricks:

1. Choose Wisely: Opt for candies that are less sticky and chewy. Chocolate is usually a better choice since it washes off your teeth more easily!
2. Brush and Floss: After indulging in those Halloween goodies, make sure to brush your teeth thoroughly and floss to remove any lingering sugar.
3. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water! It helps wash away sugar and keeps your mouth fresh.
4. Visit Us: If you have braces or aligners, be sure to schedule an appointment for a check-up after Halloween. We want to make sure your smile stays on track!

Happy retirement to Angela! She has always been a warm and sunny presence in the office and truly went above and beyond for all of our patients and for her colleagues. She brought her orthodontic experience to the office 20 years ago and worked with Dr. Harrington and Dr. Chen. With that experience, she has also imparted her knowledge and values to others in the field. Angela is one of a kind and missed! We wish her the best and lots of adventures in a well-deserved retirement. You’ll still see her in the office, but this time on the other side of the chair bringing in her grandchildren.

Today we took a well-deserved break in the middle of the day as a team to treat ourselves at the local salon and nail bar - which we hardly ever to never do. These ladies are always busy taking care of others in and outside of the office, and it was so special to see them being pampered to pineapple and pearl pedis and leave a little more whole and a lot more SPARKLY.

It's an honor to work with these hardworking, honest, smart, and genuinely kind people every day. It was a great way to kick off the holiday season.

Aligning some serious lower crowding was on the agenda for this busy mom. Her dentist referred her to our office because of the amount of crowding as well as some other trouble areas that needed a specialist's care. Like a lot of us, she did not have orthodontics as a teen, and that's okay because technology has advanced so much that now is a great time for adults to get started. The best part was that as she progressed through the treatment, for someone who didn't like her smile when she started, her smile got bigger and bigger with each progress appointment.

An orthodontist looks at not just alignment, but the smile arc and gum line. There is also a side view x-ray that we take for ALL of our patients to ensure that we are moving teeth in a healthy way. We broadened the smile and had the smile arc follow the lower lip. Any edges that need smoothening, we let the cosmetic dentist do any finishing touches, if desired. You might also notice the lower wire. That's a wire retainer that keeps the lower teeth in place.

This result could have been achieved with either braces or Invisalign. This mama chose Invisalign, and we did this in 12 months.
