She discusses how her family, particularly her aunt, a fellow nurse, inspires her to keep learning. Karen makes it her priority to stay centered in stressful situations and stays motivated by always coming back to her true mission as a nurse - helping others.

We had a great event on Tuesday night at Lake Taco. Nurses from many different backgrounds, experiences and roles in all stages of their careers joined us. The American Nurses Foundation is now accepting applications for American Nurses Foundation Nurse Scholars program.

This scholarship, made possible through funding from the United Health Foundation, provides scholars with the opportunity to receive a total of $10,000 ($5,000 per year if eligibility is maintained).
