My Story

Dale DeCelles is a licensed and insured massage therapist, a scientist, and an educator. She uses a variety of modalities in her massage therapy sessions including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, and sports massage to assist others on their journey towards a hardy, healthy, and hopeful lifestyle. She also understands the disruption, devastation, and depression of chronic pain.

In 2010, Dale was diagnosed with lower lumbar vertebral disorders which caused her debilitating pain. There were days that she could hardly walk. At times she wanted to simply resign herself to a life of chronic pain, sadness, and inactivity. Doctors discussed with her the use of steroid shots and the possibility of surgery.

Instead, she turned to massage therapy, physical therapy, and chiropractic treatments. It took more than a year, but she was able to find a routine that mitigated the symptoms to the point of no pain or low pain without steroids or surgery.

Now Dale seeks to help others explore non-pharmaceutical, non-surgical ways to address their own individual challenges. Dale is a native Rhode Islander and a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Brown University, and Bancroft School of Massage Therapy.
