What a fantastic morning at the Community Enrichment Center Food Pantry in North Richland Hills, TX! Signet employees sorted, stocked and packed household items, toys, food and drinks, and filled shopping carts for pickup. Their efforts created an economic impact for families valued at $25,225. In just a few hours the team handled approximately 12,740 pounds of goods.

Proud to partner with Franciscan Health as they expand access to high-quality acute inpatient rehabilitation care through this exciting new project!

Franciscan Health announced plans to significantly expand its inpatient acute rehabilitation and outpatient therapy services on its Indianapolis campus.

The project includes construction of a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, designed with the capacity to add 20 additional beds in the future, and a state-of-the-art outpatient therapy center.

“The addition of a rehabilitation hospital at our Indianapolis campus allows us to provide quality, mission-driven healthcare services to those we are privileged to serve,” said Lori Price, president and CEO for Franciscan Health Central Indiana.

This major investment underscores Franciscan Health’s ongoing commitment to advancing recovery care for patients who require intensive rehabilitation following serious injury, illness or surgery.

“We have been strategically expanding our rehabilitation services and adding a dedicated rehab hospital fits nicely into this plan,” said Sachin Mehta, MD, medical director of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. “The rehab hospital will be extremely beneficial to the community and the patients we care for.”

“Philanthropic support will be vitally important to this project,” said Caitlin Leahy, senior vice president, Franciscan Health Foundation and Community Health Improvement. “Charitable donations from friends and corporate partners will help secure the best equipment and latest technology for the rehabilitation hospital.”

The operations of the facility will be managed by Signet Health, who for 25 years has partnered with hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide and brings strong expertise in acute inpatient rehabilitation program oversight.

“Our partnership with Franciscan Health has been truly rewarding,” said Joy Figarsky, president and CEO of Signet Health. “Together, we have enhanced access, quality, and outcomes for patients in need of rehabilitation care. This expansion reflects Franciscan’s deep dedication to the community and its mission of service. We are honored to continue growing alongside our partner and to manage the operations of this new facility.”

Tonn and Blank Construction, LLC, known for its expertise in healthcare facility construction, will serve as the project’s general contractor. Construction is expected to be completed over the next two years.

Her session introduced a human view of substance use disorders, focusing on the underlying motivations and values that drive behavior and explored how drugs can serve as coping mechanisms, sources of identity and tools for social connection.
