Big development here at Shift Counseling, PC... In an effort to make our services more accessible to the Spanish Speaking community, we have hired two new Bilingual (English/Spanish) therapists, and we have found a widget that translates our website into Spanish!

Thankfully, our EHR hashtag has also made some recent improvements in their Spanish language accessibility as well. We are now able to seamlessly onboard bilingual clients who are looking for therapy for depression, anxiety, and trauma related issues for adults and teens.

In our five years of service, Shift Counseling, PC has always had a high percentage of male clients. Our counselors value and understand the needs of men who are brave enough to acknowledge a problem and ask for help. Recently we have made our specialty official by adding a Therapy for Men page to our website!

“It’s a major award!”
If you get that reference, it’s time to schedule your colonoscopy.

All jokes aside, I received this lovely paperweight due to my participation in ComEd’s Energy Efficiency program. Less than five years into owning my small commercial property, I got the very bad news that BOTH my AC and furnace were on their last legs.

Crisis can also bring opportunity. I knew I wanted to upgrade with Energy Efficiency in mind. I researched resources and found the ComEd Energy Efficiency program for Small Business. (Link in the comments)

ComEd helped my business, Shift Counseling, PC, install a new heat pump, a high efficiency gas furnace for backup heat, a smart thermostat and all my hard wired light fixtures were swapped out for new LED fixtures.

We’re still gathering data about how this will affect the bottom line, but it feels really good to know that this issue has been handled and I made a good choice for my business and the environment.
