Overnight the current President shared a racist video of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. Unfortunately, depicting African Americans as animals is nothing new. However, such characterizations have no place in our society now or in the past. We are speaking out against such actions because silence implies complacency. President Donald Trump has used his social media account to share a video about election conspiracy theories that includes a racist depiction of former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, as primates in a jungle.
