Our thanks to cleveland.com for covering our new partnership with Cleveland Emergency Medical Services to train the division’s paramedics to administer lifesaving whole blood transfusions at trauma scenes.

First major Ohio city to implement on-scene transfusions reports 7 survivors in first 10 cases since June 2025 launch.
