Come visit us at the Halloween Madness event on October 28th from 2-6pm!
UPDATED HALLOWEEN MADNESS DETAILS: The ghostly ride, featured below, is sure to stop you dead in your tracks when it parks up at the City Green next Saturday for our first-ever Halloween Madness event! The antique hearse, sponsored by BlueLine Classics, will be available during the entire event for photos! Again, this inaugural Halloween festival will be hosted from 2-6 p.m., Oct. 22, on our City Green at Royalton and Ridge roads. In addition to the hearse, we will have a bounce house, pumpkin painting, the Lemon Shack will be selling hotdogs and cider and of course lemonade, Tom's Killer Donuts will feature not only killer donuts but also coffee and cider, we'll have a petting zoo sponsored by the 4-H, a maze and a few craft and information exhibitors. A magic show is planned from 3:30-4:30 p.m., and the magician will stay to float around the Green with guests from 4:30-5:30 p.m. North Royalton kiddos can sign up for the costume contest, sponsored by most of City Council, from 3-4:30 p.m. at the gazebo. The judging done by our guest panel -- which includes the Mayor, Fire Chief, Police Chief and Gibby, the NoRo school mascot -- will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the gazebo. There are seven categories for ages infant through 16, as well as group costume and best costume. Winners will receive a medal and a gift card. The North Royalton Historical Society, which will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. across the street on Ridge Road, will have a jack-o-lantern contest. Participants can drop off their pre-carved pumpkins between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and the winner will be announced at 5:30 p.m. The Historical House will also feature a fire pit, apple cider and cookies. Admission to our event is free, but we are asking that guests consider a school supply donation to Supplying Success, which provides school items to North Royalton students in need. A big thank you to Royal Victorian Garden Center for the fall foliage that will decorate our City Green and to the The Pavilion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for providing the paint for our pumpkin painting activity! Thank you for your support of our newest community event!
