🚰 Why Water Matters for Kids – More Than You Might Think! 🌞
From Dr. Keith Hassinger at Life Chiropractic North Royalton
Most parents know that water is important—but do you know how dehydration can quietly affect your child’s health and behavior?
Even mild dehydration in children can lead to:
❗ Headaches and trouble concentrating
❗ Mood swings or irritability
❗ Digestive issues like constipation
❗ Muscle cramps and growing pains
❗ Fatigue—even after a good night’s sleep
Kids are more prone to dehydration because they may not always recognize thirst. Add in summer heat, sports, and screen time, and it’s easy to fall behind on hydration.
💧 Tips for Parents:
Encourage a sip of water every hour—especially during play
Choose water over juice or soda
Send a reusable water bottle to school or camp
Hydration supports healthy brain function, joint health, and overall wellness—especially for growing bodies. As a chiropractor, I see firsthand how proper hydration supports spinal and nervous system health, too!
