What is PEMF?

Hi! My name is Kathleen Tow. Thank you for visiting my page!

I have been passionate about science and horses all my life. I have been a competitive rider for over 30 years and I know on a personal level what it feels like to see your horse in pain. After struggling through countless procedures and recoveries, I stumbled on PEMF therapy while researching possible alternative healing options for my own horse.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the USC School of Dentistry, and was a practicing Registered Dental Hygienist in Beverly Hills, California for 10 years - I am intimately familiar with medical technology, and out of curiosity I dove into the research behind PEMF. What I found was exciting and gave me much hope for the horse I was at the same time, looking to retire due to his continuing soundness issues.

PEMF (Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field) therapy works at the cellular level delivering localized electromagnetic currents to the entire body, increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation. Inflammation is the body’s natural response to trauma, but in many cases inflammation becomes excessive and slows healing and exacerbates pain.
