🥗Changing your diet from a typical Western diet can add years to your life.
🥗A sustained change from a Western diet to an “optimal diet” starting at age 20 would increase life expectancy by 10+ years. Making these same changes at age 60 can add 8 years to life expectancy. (translation: it is never too late to eat better!)
🥗According to the cited study below, dietary changes that have the most benefit for life expectancy are eating more legumes, more whole grains, more nuts, less red meat, and less processed meat.
