Baudin Haiti Dental Mission

Baudin Haiti Dental Mission We were an independent group who went to Haiti to provide dental care. All funds collected has been sent to Dr. Tony to help continue his dental work. Thank you.

However, since Covid and the gang violence there, the Baudin Haiti Fund has been dissolved. During our 3 yearly trips, we work in the clinic 5-6 day each time; treating about 50 patients per day. We provide extractions, fillings and teeth cleanings. For those living with infected teeth and gums, it isn't just a matter of aesthetic appearance. These maladies left untreated can lead can lead to seri

ous health issues. in some cases, it can be terminal. Thankfully, our efforts of the years have made an significant improvement in the overall health of the people of Baudin and surrounding areas. Our work gives relief from sever and chronic pain for many people who may otherwise have had to suffer indefinitely. We have been fortunate to not only be able to help where we can, but to also develop life-long friendships and support systems with many families of the community.

The group was small, but we still managed to have a great time at our Bunco for Baudin to greet the New Year. It ended with a great banging of pots and pans outside at midnight. And over $450 was collected for Baudin Haiti Dental Mission.
Thanks to all who came and all who donated.

After taking a Covid break last year, we had our 10th annual Bunco for Baudin, ringing in the New Year as we raised $565 for Haiti. Hand sanitizers and masks helped keep this small group safe during our celebration. Thanks to all who came and joined the fun. Happy New Year to all with hopes that 2022 brings much good health and good choices in helping to bring an end to Covid and all its crazy variants.

Many don't realize the work involved in being in an art show. The tents are either set up by the artist or is rented for an additional fee above the booth fee. Then the artist (and helper) has to be at the spot at 6 am to build your display, usually taking 2-3 hours. Then the artist has to be in the booth for another 7 hours for usually two days. Although it's nice to hear "Your work is so beautiful." it doesn't "pay the bills."
Dave is, once again, selling his watercolors at the LIncolnshire Art Fair. Please help support our mission. Purchase a piece of his beautiful work or even give a monetary donation.

It would be greatly appreciated!

Here is an aerial of a section of our community in Baudin. The blue building is the dental clinic now open due to the successful completion of dental school by our student Dr. Tony Chervil. We miss not being there but are glad patients are still being taken care of.

Presently, we are sponsoring two dental students from the community of Baudin, who are attending dental school in Port au Prince. The goal is for them to continue working in the Gras a Dye dental clinic as a form of sustainability. To help achieve this goal, we continually organize benefits to accumulate donations to help pay for their tuition and living expenses. We always gladly accept personal tax-deductible donations on our website: BaudinDentalMission.org.
