Meet David! David enjoys working in the industry because cannabis quite literally saved his life. After a back injury and a Degenerative Disc Disease diagnosis he resorted to surgery to help with the pain. After surgery, he was on a very heavy dose of narcotics, a slippery slope to addiction, and to never being able to fully recover. David was introduced to a topical infused lotion that immediately took away his nerve pain. From that day on he never took a pill again. He wants to share his story to help others. The one thing David would change about the industry is how cannabis is viewed by non-users. What appeals to him most about cannabis is its untapped potential.

GREAT NEWS! HB 1101, which would have repealed South Dakota’s medical cannabis program, has been deferred to the 41st day! Thank you to everyone who testified in committee this morning and emailed their legislators. South Dakota medical cannabis patients will continue to have access to their medicine!

The representatives who voted to defer the bill are: Andera, Emery, Halverson, Kayser, Mulder, Rehfeldt, Reimer

The representatives who voted in opposition to deferring are: Jordan, Garcia, Schaefbauer, Manhart, Baxter, Heinemann
