Molina Healthcare of New York and Affinity by Molina Healthcare recently hosted a series of vibrant back-to-school events for children and families across the state. From Long Island to Buffalo, hundreds of New Yorkers visited 12 of our Community Service Centers and Community Resource Centers to receive backpacks, school supplies and information about our health plans.

Affinity also attended a back-to-school event organized by the Parent Child Relationship Association in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where we gave away more school supplies.

Thank you to all our wonderful community partners, especially the Buffalo Bisons and Dollar General, for their generous donations to our Buffalo event. The Bisons provided free game tickets, hats, jerseys, and other merchandise for our raffle. Dollar General also gave away hundreds of school supplies to help us stuff backpacks. Their support will help ensure that kids in our communities are set up for a successful school year.

Our teams were delighted to engage with visitors while enjoying fun, music and togetherness. Thanks to all who participated!

Last month, our Molina Healthcare executive leaders gathered in Albany, New York, for a powerful two-day working session focused on strengthening Medicaid, Medicare, and dual-eligible service delivery.

Meeting topics included:
· Preventive care and health screenings
· Increasing access to a robust provider network

This work reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our members and providers with better access, better care, and better health outcomes.

While in Albany, attendees enjoyed a tour of the historic New York State Capitol, which reminded them of the rich history that shapes the communities we serve.

It's back-to-school season, and we've been out and about, helping our communities get ready for a great year! Last month, we partnered with Directions in Independent Living for Molina Backpack Community Day at the Lincoln Park South Street Pavilion in Olean, NY, where we provided health plan information and gave away free backpacks, pencils, pens, crayons, Band-Aids, glue sticks, scissors and more.

Our community-based partners joined us to offer free haircuts, school supplies, refreshments and face paintings. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and helped make it a fun-filled day!

On Saturday, July 19, we celebrated World Refugee Day at Nardin Academy Sports Park on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, NY.

Molina Healthcare was proud to participate as the only health insurance provider and one of the event sponsors alongside several other community vendors. We had the opportunity to set up a table and connect with attendees throughout the day. The event host made several announcements highlighting Molina Healthcare, which helped draw attention and engagement.

Md Karim, MNY Business Development Manager participated as Buffalo Police Reserve Sergeant, helping patrol and support the event on behalf of the Buffalo Police Department.

The day served as a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and contributions of refugees in our community. Buffalo continues to stand as a welcoming city—embracing diversity, uplifting voices, and showing solidarity with those who have been displaced.

🚨 Never leave a child in a parked car — not even for a minute.

Temperatures inside a car can rise dangerously fast, even on mild days. A child’s body heats up 3–5 times faster than an adult’s.

Here are simple ways to help prevent a tragedy:
✔ Always check the back seat before locking your car.
✔ Keep a stuffed animal in the car seat — move it to the front seat to remind you.
✔ Place your phone, purse or work badge next to the car seat.
✔ Set a reminder on your phone if you have a change in routine.
