🌟 Self-Care Reminder: It's important to prioritize your own needs and values rather than abandoning yourself to please others. True peace comes from honoring your own boundaries and well-being. Remember, saying “no” to others sometimes means saying “yes” to yourself. 💪❤️

•Embracing Radical Acceptance•
In our journey through life, we often encounter situations that challenge us and push us beyond our comfort zones. Radical acceptance is a powerful tool that encourages us to fully acknowledge and embrace reality as it is—without resistance or judgment. By accepting things we cannot change, we free ourselves from the burden of unnecessary suffering and open the door to peace and healing. Remember, acceptance doesn’t mean approval; it means acknowledging the truth of our circumstances while empowering ourselves to respond with clarity and compassion.

Salazar, we at CNY Marriage & Therapy Place want to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for all individuals, particularly those who identify as LGBTQIA+. We stand firmly against conversion therapy, recognizing it as a harmful and discredited practice. 🌟 This week in our "From the Therapy Chair" series, we're delving into the transformative world of family therapy. At the heart of our exploration is a powerful question: "When does your family feel most connected?" This inquiry encourages families to reflect on moments of unity and shared joy, helping to strengthen bonds and promote understanding. Whether it's during a family dinner, a shared hobby, or a heartfelt conversation, identifying these moments can guide families toward greater harmony and resilience.

🌟 Parenting is a journey filled with challenges, but one of the most impactful tools you have is your own emotional regulation. When you manage your emotions, you model resilience and calm for your children, creating a supportive environment for their growth. Remember, your ability to stay grounded helps foster a sense of security and trust, empowering your kids to navigate their own emotions with confidence. Let's build a foundation of emotional strength together! 💪💖

“A regulated adult is the most powerful intervention in the room.”

Not the behavior chart.
Not the clip system.
Not the consequence.

You.

Because when a learner is dysregulated, they are not asking for control, they are signaling a need for safety.

And safety isn’t created through raised voices, power struggles, or compliance demands.
It’s created through co-regulation.

✔️ A regulated tone
✔️ Predictable responses
✔️ Flexible expectations
✔️ Attunement over authority

Your nervous system sets the tone for the entire room.

So before we ask,
“How do we fix this behavior?”

We need to ask,
“Are we getting curious about the root cause of the behavior?”

Because dysregulation escalates dysregulation but regulation can interrupt it.

You are not just managing a classroom.
You are shaping an environment where nervous systems either feel safe… or don’t.

And that will always matter more than any intervention written on paper.

The Challenges of Online Reviews in Therapy Practices

Therapy practices face several obstacles concerning online reviews, primarily due to privacy regulations like HIPAA. These laws prevent therapists from openly responding to negative or misleading feedback, which can deter clients from sharing their experiences since it may disclose their therapy involvement. As a result, this can skew ratings, often amplifying the opinions of a vocal minority with negative perspectives. Conversely, high ratings can lead to skepticism among potential clients. Therefore, online reviews may not accurately reflect the quality of a therapist's services.

At CNY Marriage & Family, we value all feedback—both positive and negative—and are always eager to connect with individuals. We are more than just an online rating; we are real people committed to supporting you on your mental wellness journey.
