The best way to support someone is by asking them how they would like to be supported. Oftentimes mental illnesses are not supported because it doesn’t have a physical “look”, such as walking with crutches. With the holidays quickly approaching, I’d love to get a jumpstart on support and helping others the way they need to be supported/helped. Please comment below a positive mantra, or a way you like to be supported, it may work for someone else!

I apologize in advance for the double post today.

I wanted to make another post this evening to take a minute to wrap up su***de awareness month.
Su***de awareness needs to be all year long, in the mean time we can Be Kind to ourself, our bodies/minds, and most importantly, be kind to others! “Be Kind or Be Quiet” my intern once said, and it has stuck ever since.

Let us continue to think about and remember our loved ones who’ve completed su***de everyday. Also please continue to reach out and check on family/loved ones as well, as that grief is life altering.

There are several multiple local resources that offer mental health services, along with 988, the su***de prevention hotline. PLEASE reach out to someone if you’re struggling! You Matter!
