Ascension is one of the nation’s leading non-profit and Catholic health systems, with a Mission of delivering compassionate, personalized care to all with special attention to those most vulnerable. In FY2024, Ascension provided $2.1 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs. Across 16 states and the District of Columbia, Ascension’s network encompasses approximately 106,000 associates, 26,000 aligned providers, 105 wholly owned or consolidated hospitals, and 34 senior living facilities. Additionally, through strategic partnerships, Ascension holds an ownership interest in 26 other hospitals.

BEE stands for "Be Extraordinary Everyday" and recognizes non-nursing associates who go above and beyond in their work.

Amanda's nominator shared that Amanda makes a significant impact on patients when she cleans their rooms. She kindly greets them and always makes sure everyone's needs are met before she leaves their room. Amanda always has a smile on her face when leaving the patient's room.

The Mission Team at Ascension St. Vincent Jennings raised funds to provide five Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to local law enforcement—four for the Jennings County Sheriff's Office and one for the
City of North Vernon Police Department . Each AED will be kept in a patrol car, ready to save lives in the field.

These AEDs are equipped with technology that gives real-time feedback on compression depth and rate, guiding responders to deliver high-quality CPR and potentially lifesaving shocks to individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

We’re proud to support our community’s first responders and help make lifesaving care more accessible.
