Elite Public Adjusters

Elite Public Adjusters FIRE • FLOOD • WIND • THEFT WHAT IS A PUBLIC ADJUSTER? WHY NOT USE THE INSURANCE COMPANY’S ADJUSTER? A Public Adjuster works for you, and is paid by you. Nothing.

A certified Public Adjuster is licensed by the Department of Insurance to work for insurance policyholders. The Insurance Company’s Adjuster must answer to their employer. This means that a Public Adjuster will have your interests in mind first and foremost, something you could not honestly expect from an Insurance Company Adjuster. CAN I STILL FILE A CLAIM AFTER I HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS CLOSED THEIR FILE? Certainly. We will be glad to provide a Claim Audit for free if you do not think your settlement was correct. There is no charge unless you receive more money. WHY SHOULD I HIRE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER TO HELP ME GET WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE? Insurance claims are difficult and complex. Proof and documentation of damages is the responsibility of the policyholder, not the Insurance Company. Public Adjusters are professionals, experienced at noticing all the details so that nothing is overlooked in the process of appraising, estimating, and evaluating. A larger settlement will, almost always, be gained with the use of a trained and experienced Public Adjuster. WITH YOUR HELP, AM I GUARANTEED A HIGHER SETTLEMENT? It has been shown that most inventories created by policyholders are quite incomplete. A Public Adjuster has a variety of methods through which they can help create a thorough and complete list. This ranges from computer checklists, to room-by-room analysis. The more complete your claim, the more money you recoup. WHAT IS THE UPFRONT COST? Our fees come in the form of a percentage of any settlement. This means you owe us nothing, if we earn you nothing. CAN ANYONE USE THE SERVICES OF PUBLIC ADJUSTERS? Public Adjusters are hired by policyholders of all types, from businesses to individuals, including banks, doctors, lawyers, and even insurance company adjusters and agents on their own losses. There are benefits to using a Public Adjuster even on the smallest of claims. CAN’T MY AGENT MAKE SURE I GET A FAIR SETTLEMENT WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY? Insurance Agents are salespeople. Often they do not have the responsibility or ability to handle Insurance Adjustments. Your agent can actually receive a bonus, if your claim and those of others are kept small. Often the Insurance Company itself will ask that the Agent not participate in the process. Most Agents would likely refer you to a Public Adjuster, which is what they would do in your place. DOES HIRING A PUBLIC ADJUSTER CAUSE PROBLEMS OR DELAYS? With our experience, and working relationship with the Insurance Companies, most delays can be avoided. Unfortunately, Insurance Companies are not always reasonable or fair. A Public Adjuster will not give in to unfair demands or stances which would result in a bad settlement. However, our familiarity with the system helps us avoid or resolve most issues efficiently and in your favor. Remember, we work for you. SHOULD I WAIT FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO MAKE AN OFFER TO SEE IF I EVEN NEED YOUR SERVICES? Sooner is better when dealing with a claim. Early involvement of a Public Adjuster will significantly reduce the stress of filing a claim. The experience and knowledge needed to accurately determine if a settlement offer is fair is quite substantial. Often, policyholders who do not use our services settle for as little as 50 cents on the dollar. A Public Adjuster will help you get the money you are due, and help smooth over an already, stressful time. CAN THE INSURANCE COMPANY CANCEL ME IF I HIRE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER? Under no circumstances. If an Insurance Company were to cancel you because you hired a public adjuster, it would be a violation of the law. Access to Public Adjusters is a right given to you by the State Legislature.

We strongly advise owners of secondary shore homes to conduct a thorough inspection of their property this weekend. Despite having the heating system operational, there is always a risk of failure. Setting the thermostat to 55 degrees may not provide sufficient protection against pipes freezing in the current weather conditions. It is crucial to remember that pipes typically burst upon thawing, rather than during the freezing process, allowing a window of opportunity to mitigate potential damage. Additionally, many coastal homeowners' insurance policies now mandate that the water supply be shut off at the main valve and the house be winterized after seven consecutive days of absence, irrespective of the heating status. In the event of damage, please contact Elite Public Adjusters at 609-522-1954 before reaching out to your insurance agent or company. With over 35 years of local experience and thousands of references, our team is well-equipped to assist you.

TIP OF THE WEEK: Pipes are often located in cabinets. When the temperature drops, it is a good idea to keep these cabinet doors open so that the heat from the rest of the house can keep the pipes warm as well. You should also keep all interior doors open so that the heat can flow throughout the home.❄️🛠
