The Trout Lily serves as a reminder of resilience, overcoming the challenges of unpredictable spring weather to bloom. It thrives through persistence, adapting in its own distinctive way. Even after the floods of Helene ravaged the banks of the Middle Fork, these Lillies have come out in abundance.. more than previous years. Let her inspire us all, we can do hard things!

Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture is excited to support “Beautiful, Useful, True,” an ecofeminist theatrical production running February 26 – March 2, 2025, at Valborg Theatre. Conceived and directed by Assistant Professor Elizabeth Parks, this performance draws from the work of local and regional female climate leaders (including BRWIA’s own Executive Director, Liz Whiteman) to explore climate change, resilience, and the power of marginalized voices. 🌎🌱

On the February 28th showing, Liz Whiteman will join a panel discussion to dive deeper into these themes and their impact on our community and food systems.
