Y.A.P. Studio Come join us for yoga, aerobics and pilates. Monday: Beginner Yoga Tuesday: All Levels Yoga Thursday: Pilates/Aerobics $10 per class. Y.A.P.

Studio began in August 2007 with a mission to share our love for Yoga with
others in a safe and nurturing environment. A place where we can get fit, develop
friendships and give back to the community all at the same time. Individually and as a community we choose to embrace and uplift others around
us through our actions of GIVING BACK. Our classes are designed to encourage
all who enter our studio. Classes are for adults and teens over 16 (exceptions are made, please contact us prior to the class). There is no child care available at the studio so please do not bring children to wait for you in the lobby. Email us at yapstudio1@aol.com

October Client Spotlight:

This month we are excited to feature Sherry Watkins as our client spotlight.

She has been practicing yoga since 2019… this time. 😊 🧘‍♀️

Her favorite class is All Levels Yoga and Stability Balls Class.
Her favorite pose is pigeon pose.

When asked about her yoga goals, she said, yoga helps me feel better. Yoga allows your body to stretch those muscles so that you can keep moving. So my goal is to keep on moving!! It’s also a stress reliever. Mind over matter.

When asked why she enjoys YAP Studio she replied, I love yoga in general, but our yoga ladies make it perfect. I have a great group of friends that I appreciate - we build muscle tone while building friendships.

Outside of yoga Sherry enjoys being with her family, grandchildren and traveling adventures with her husband, Randy. e

This month we are excited to feature Leah, as our member spotlight!

She has been practicing yoga since October 2017 and joined YAP in August 2019.

Her favorite class is All Levels Yoga and her favorite pose is Lizard pose.

When asked about her yoga goals, she said she found yoga for exercise, but continues to practice for the mind/body connection. Yoga has helped her recognize and break anxious habits and remain grounded.

When asked why she enjoys YAP Studio, she said the community. Yoga is the journey of the self, but the journey is more fun with others who share your intentions and goals.

Outside of yoga, Leah, is passionate about exploring the world through travel and attending concerts, sharing those experiences with those she loves.

August Client Spotlight:

This month we are excited to feature Rosie Summers as our client spotlight.

She has been practicing yoga since 2018.

Her favorite class is All Levels Yoga on Tuesday and Stability Balls on Thursday. Her favorite pose is Low Lunge with a twist.

When asked about her yoga goals, she said to maintain flexibility and build back strength. Rosie joined YAP after recovering from a ruptured disc. She joined weight watchers and shortly after began yoga to tone her muscles, embarking on her journey of self-care.

When asked why she enjoys YAP Studio she said, "It's the best group of ladies I've ever had the privilege of knowing. I feel better physically when I leave but I also leave feeling better mentally and that's one effect of yoga I didn't expect".

Outside of yoga, Rosie is passionate about historic preservation and patriotic service.

July Client Spotlight:

This month we are excited to feature Shari Hubbard as our client spotlight!

She’s been practicing yoga at Yap Studio since June 2018.

Her favorite class is All Levels Yoga Class on Tuesday and Stability Balls or Deck of Cards on Thursday. Her favorite pose is Child’s Pose.

When asked about her yoga goals, she said, “To improve my overall health, both mental and physical. I can tell a difference in my body since I have been attending yoga classes at YAP Studio. I have improved my flexibility and my overall physical strength. I also have more peace of mind.”

When asked why she enjoys Yap Studio, she said, “I love the atmosphere and instruction. The studio itself is calming and clean. Liz is an excellent instructor who provides clear, concise instructions regarding poses while emphasizing safety. Aerobic classes on Thursday are energetic and fun.”

Outside of yoga, Shari is passionate about spending time with family and friends.
