Check out one of our WYLD Lands staff, Ava! She’s an asset to our team.

Ava W. has been selected as the February WCC WWHS Career and College Promise student of the month. She is a senior at West Wilkes High School and has worked with her WCC career coach on her college and career plans. Upon graduation, she will have completed 32 general education courses, over a year of college, while keeping an excellent college GPA. She plans to complete her Associate in Science degree in a year at Wilkes Community College, then transfer to Western Carolina to pursue a degree in Biology. We are so proud of Ava and her accomplishments.

While the snow and ice prevented us from starting our semester on time.... the homeschool seedlings sure did love playing in it this week after roads got cleared!

Do you like the outdoors and have experience working with children?

If this sounds like you then we are hiring a part time staff member to help lead our Monday and Wednesday Forest School programs. This could also be a good fit for moms who may need to bring their kids with them to work!
