One of my favorite humans and Witchcraft teachers, Christopher Penczak Author & Teacher will be back to Blessed Bee Apothecary in South Hadley to teach his workshop, Descent of the Goddess, Seven Gates of Initiation. I already have my ticket...who will I see there?

Explore the mystery of initiation through the Descent of the Goddess. Reenacted in many witchcraft traditions during initiatory or seasonal rites, discover the seven fold meaning of the Goddess' descent to explore the magick of death, rebirth and love. Understand the pattern of initiation, of reaching a new level of consciousness and through the rebirth of the Goddess, become “free from fate.” Compare the seven gates through which she passes with the seven gated castles of Anwnn in Welsh myth, the alchemical operations, the ancient planets, the chakras and the Miracle of Bread in traditional craft. Experience an intense journey through the seven gates to experience your own rebirth and return. Learn what you must surrender to be reborn.

Learning about ritual practices from elders in living spiritual traditions is radically different than learning in modern spaces.

No smartphones, no slide decks, no hand outs and not even "old fashioned" note taking with pen and paper in a journal.

You are expected to learn by showing up, paying attention, following instructions, doing the work and acquiring the knowledge through lived experiences.

BOOK of SHADOWS CRAFTING NIGHT
If you have always wanted to learn more about making and keeping a Book of Shadows and actually work on creating pages for yours, then you will want to check out our upcoming BOOK of SHADOWS CRAFTING NIGHT for Witches, Pagans and Mystical Folk happening Thurs. May 14th from 7-9 pm.

This is an ongoing Monthly Event during which you get to work on a different set of pages with other magickally minded folk.
Join Winifred for a facilitated and interactive evening during which participants will directly work on pages for their personal Book of Shadows.

Together we will explore materials such as stamps, ink, dried flowers, collage, and other creative supplies/techniques to inspire us. Winifred will provide the magickal information and materials to inspire and guide the pages you will create.

Invite Your Inner Witch to Play

You don’t need to be an artist or a writer in order to create a beautiful and meaningful Book of Shadows. You just need to show up and have fun.

A Book of Shadows is a living, evolving magickal archive that supports your path of growth, discovery and learning as an Earth Mystic.

Book of Shadows come in many forms and styles, from simple or ornate. They play an important role as you record your insights, experiences, knowledge and document spells, recipes, correspondences and more.

Whether you use a three ring binder, notebook or another kind of journal, we break our evening down into bite-size chunks to focus on just one or two pages with a featured topic.

This will be an ongoing Monthly Event that folks can join as they feel called.
