Wouldn't be the last day of the year without this traditional post 🔥🌌

Sending a giant amount of love to these families. I am always here.

How nuts to be welcomed into such a sacred experience and to be trusted with this work. I showed up as much as I could for all of these families this year, and I learned so much from each birth. I think of each family's strength and expansion often, and I still hear the crack in the universe that we can see for a split second when the veil is super thin. It's big, scary, confusing, and filled with a s**t ton of magical love.

It's funny to me, now four years into this work, that I post the names of these babes because this work is so much more than meeting these little beings and the names I get to know in secret time. Although, to me, each name here holds a story of a transformative experience I was invited to witness- a lot of moments that can't even really be described unless we bump into each other for a hug at the grocery store or the park- and I'm honored to hold them all close with awe and gratitude.

More on this later. For now, just thinking about magic and all the things I still need to learn.

Gratitude to the families inviting me to hold a lantern through the dark portal tunnel journey thing that is birth, and when the light goes out, I try to still be there as your witness...but it's really all you.

my new business name... 👇

This is a photo of a reflection of weird windows in a parking lot. It didn't make any sense and was so beautiful. Such is birth. It looked messy but somehow like a bunch of flowers, and if you zoom in, can't you see the crown? 👑

I'm teaching a new group of 8 wonderful families right now, and I kept saying tonight..."the path as it unfolds" like a million times. How much I want to tell them but the story will be their own.

A client asked me recently, "If there was a box that you could just place your hand in and feel the pain of labor, would you do it? Would you encourage us to do it?" Anyone know this cinematic/literary reference?! 🐛 How complex. I said, "No. We meet ourselves when we're ready." Birth is that.

I've been safe guarding my new logo and business name because there's other more important things arising and flowing (including but not limited to healing, loving, and EVOLVING, and extremely intentional parenting!) but I don't think you can rebrand a birth-related business by following rules...so I guess this odd window reflection prompted me to do things out of order and without a plan of what I'll share next and when. Birth is mystery, too.

I'll share the logo soon, but I suppose the beauty is in the meaning of the name. Find the name reveal and some wordy words at the link on my bio. 🔗
..and maybe the new logo is actually at the end of the blog. Maybe. Birth is also a little bit of searching. Birth is cryptic.

I've got a new domain and email and all that jazz, website shifts and a major task to clarify offerings, and all sorts of goodie-type treats. I even gave out new logo stickers and changed all my recent class slides...so now it's really out there, and the rest will come together in time. I'm doing this without pattern even though I expected it to unfold differently. This is birth, too.

If you didn't hear the news, I'm back in grad school...round two. Getting a Masters in Social Work so I can rock out as a clinical therapist. All in time.

Following your fire is the work right now, dudes. The pendulum swings, and we've got some work to do. 🔥

Hosting IN PERSON HypnoBirthing classes every other month between late April of 2024 and March of 2025!!!!! (Obviously beyond that, too, but my brain works in mostly 9 month intervals 😅.)

So thrilled to have another rental contract in place with the beautiful, sunlit studios .noho

Private prep sessions available as well! 🤓 💓

Teaching people about birth is my jam. It's expansive and ever changing, and there is space for every family to find their voice on this process.
