We had a wonderful time yesterday at Thomas Memorial Golf in Turner’s Falls! The outpouring of kindness, creativity, generosity and compassion from the organizers and participants in the first ever Pars for a Purpose was incredible.
Golfers competed in a cart decorating contest, as you can see in a few pictures - see if you can spot the winner.
And then they surprised us with not only one, but two incredibly generous checks!

We are stunned and profoundly grateful.

This article from NPR is full of really
solid advice about how to not disappear but instead be truly
supportive when someone you care about receives a cancer diagnosis.

“In fact, social isolation is one of the most common, underappreciated side effects of having cancer, and can affect not only a person's mental health, but their ability to fight disease.”
