Mindful Movement in Nature with Lynne Smith
Fridays September 5 & 19 • Last dates of the season
Enjoy a gentle, standing Qigong practice in the beauty of trees, water, and sunlight in a South Amherst park. After a short walk to a shaded labyrinth by a stream, we’ll move through nature-inspired exercises to calm the mind and energize the body.
Whole Food, Plant-Based Cooking with Paul Sustick
Saturday, September 6 • 10 am – 1 pm
Join Paul Sustick of Paul & Elizabeth’s restaurant for a hands-on cooking workshop focused on creating delicious, nourishing meals from fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains. Learn practical skills, tips, and techniques to support good health during and after cancer treatment. Includes cooking demos, hands-on practice, and knife skills.
Monthly Reiki Night
Tuesday, September 9
Join us for a half hour Reiki session formatted in a group setting. Each participant will be on a separate Reiki table and will have two certified volunteer Reiki Practitioners working on them at the same time.
This is a first come, first served event. Sessions will begin at 6pm (doors open at 5:50pm) with the last session starting at 7:30pm and ending at 8:00pm.
Pressed & Distressed: A Journal-Making Workshop with Diane Potter
Saturday, September 13 • 10 am – 12 pm
Create a one-of-a-kind journal in this fun, hands-on workshop. Choose from two styles: a richly textured faux leather cover made from paper bags, or a light, nature-inspired botanical collage with pressed flowers and leaves. No experience needed—just bring sharp scissors and your creativity! All other materials provided. Pairs well with the Gratitude Journaling workshop on 9/27.
Mirrors: Equine Assisted Mindfulness Workshop

At Heroes, Horses & Hounds farm in Sunderland, connect with horses to explore mindfulness, healing, and resilience. Through gentle hands-on time, journaling, and group sharing, discover peace in your body, clarity in your mind, and the joy of simple play.
Understanding Osteopenia & Osteoporosis with Dr. Amy Rothenberg
Tuesday, September 16, 5:30 - 7:00 pm
Licensed naturopathic doctor Amy Rothenberg will review the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and share evidence-based integrative medicine approaches to maintain and build strong, healthy bones and help reduce the risk of fracture.
