Northampton County Alerts Residents on Severe Winter Weather; Warming Centers and Shelters Available

Northampton County, PA — With severe cold, snow, and ice forecasted for this weekend, Northampton County is reminding residents—especially seniors and vulnerable populations—to take necessary precautions and make use of available warming centers and emergency shelters.

Residents who need assistance are encouraged to contact the Northampton County Information and Referral Line (Non-Crisis) 610-829-4500, where trained staff can connect callers with available resources. If you are experiencing a crisis or need assistance, you can call Information and Referral Emergency Services (IRES) - (610) 829-4800, the 24 Hour Emergency Number is (610) 252-9060.

The County encourages residents to prepare for potentially hazardous conditions by staying informed and reviewing emergency preparedness guidance provided by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Ready PA:
