Last week’s ribbon-cutting honored the completion of The First as well as two permanent supportive housing locations made possible by Hearthway.
The First in Pittsfield, a collaboration between Hearthway, ServiceNet, the City of Pittsfield, Zion Lutheran Church, and the Cathedral of the Beloved, will be a welcoming, low-barrier space where individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability can access restrooms, showers, laundry machines, lockers, housing resources, and most importantly—connection.
More than a service hub, it is a place of dignity, safety, and community, where people can begin to rebuild trust and find their path forward.
Thank you to the City Hall - City of Pittsfield and our many collaborators and sponsors for making The First become reality.
