Cooley Dickinson Hospital is honoring the life and legacy of a beloved nurse whose impact will be felt for years to come. đź’™

Ann LeBrun, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, was known as the “heart and soul” of CDH — an advocate, mentor and compassionate caregiver who touched countless lives over nearly 20 years.

During Nurses Week, her family accepted a DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award on her behalf, and staff unveiled “Ann’s Room,” a peaceful wellness space inspired by her love of the ocean and reading — created to support and restore staff, just as she did every day.

Her legacy lives on in every patient cared for with compassion and every colleague she inspired.

Cooley Dickinson Hospital was recently recognized by the American Hospital Association with its 100th Anniversary Award for advancing the health of the community.

The award was presented by Joanne Cunningham, Regional Executive for the AHA, to CDH President and COO Kevin Whitney, DNP, RN, during the hospital’s May leadership meeting.

“For more than 100 years, Cooley Dickinson Hospital has been the heartbeat of this community,” Cunningham said.
