Things to remember when on an interpreting job:
• You MUST bring a form of valid ID (in-person & virtual).
 State law requires the interpreter’s identification be verified prior to being sworn in (legal proceedings).
• You MUST interpret in 1st person.
 You are to interpret word-for-word of what is said.
 Avoid saying “He/She said…”
• Do NOT have one-sided conversations or alter facts, such as leading the conversation, adding or removing facts from the statement.

If you accept a remote appointment, make sure your apps are updated. Make sure you have created a free account for Webex or Zoom with your email address and your password to open the program. It’s a good idea to have the apps on your devices (phone, tablet, PC) so that if one device won’t work, hopefully another one will work. If you don’t update your apps, you may experience difficulty getting into the meeting

All medical interpreters must submit proof of vaccinations, including your Covid-19 vaccine. The medical facilities are mandating that all interpreters be fully vaccinated. Please email the information to interpreter@benoitinc.com
