The Center for Psychology and Wellness (CPW) is dedicated to building a strong therapeutic alliance, enhancing balanced functioning, and increasing positive well-being. Each client will be listened to carefully in a safe and supportive environment by a skilled Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Traditional talk therapy, skills-based approaches, and holistic treatments are used to meet each client's specific mental health and behavioral health care needs. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. A full range of psychological services are offered to families and individuals of all ages who are struggling with the following concerns (but not limited to):

Anxiety Disorders
Mood Disorders
PTSD/ Trauma
Non-Suicidal Self-Injury
Behavior Problems
Parenting Stress

Dr. Anna Basov holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned her Doctorate (Psy.D.) and Master's Degree (M.A.) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She earned her Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Basov completed her training in a wide range of professional settings, including a group practice, behavioral health hospital, residential treatment facility, and schools. Dr. Basov presented internationally at the International Family Therapy Association conference in Panama City, Panama. She presented her research in the area of communication patterns between preadolescents and parents about social networking. Dr. Basov's area of specialty include: assessment and treatment of adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. She is experienced in treating various symptoms, including stress-related symptoms, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD and complex trauma, Trichotillomania, adjustment disorders, behavior problems, and parenting stress. Dr. Basov utilizes an integrative evidence-based approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. Depending on the client's presenting problem(s) and personality style, Dr. Basov implements Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Interventions, and Motivational Interviewing Skills. Systems and Structural Family Therapy are approaches used to help families meet their treatment goals.
