Celebrating our Team Member of the Month, Genoveva Diaz! 🎉

Genoveva has been a Dietary Aide at Citadel of Northbrook for five years and eight months. She enjoys helping residents find foods they enjoy and takes pride in the everyday moments that bring residents joy.

Outside of work, Genoveva likes to relax by watching TV, enjoying a cup of coffee, and spending time with her family.

Last week at Citadel of Northbrook, our team celebrated earning the Golden Case — awarded to the center that led the network in beating its census goal. 🏆

We also wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month — honoring survivors (including members of our own team), remembering loved ones, and reinforcing the importance of early detection. 💗

Celebrating Marta Samano’s 15 years at Citadel of Northbrook! 🎉

Marta has been an incredible part of our housekeeping team, creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our community. Her dedication and positivity shine through in everything she does.

Her advice for anyone starting in healthcare: “Always stay positive—it helps lift the spirits of everyone around you.”

One memory that always stays with her: “Since working here, I’ve had opportunities to improve my English, which has been meaningful for me, my family, and my professional growth. One resident, in particular, always greeted me with a good morning and took the time to talk with me. She was so kind and had a beautiful soul, and moments like that always kept me going.”

If she had to describe her journey in one word, it would be “Happy,” because “I love what I do. I like the people, the residents. It’s like family here, and this is a place I call my second home."

Thank you, Marta, for 15 amazing years of dedication, positivity, and care. We are so grateful for everything you do! 💛
