Your friend's injury looked the same. But their fix probably isn't yours.

Same sport or activity. Same area of pain. Completely different root cause.

This is one of the most common traps we see. Someone tries the program a friend used, the YouTube exercise that worked for someone else, or the same brace their training partner swears by.

Sometimes it helps temporarily. It rarely fixes the actual problem because the actual problem isn't the same problem to begin with.

At Fuel every assessment starts from scratch. We watch you move. We find what's driving your specific issue. We build a plan around that.

Root cause, not symptom management.

Spring running season is here. Most runners will get hurt by May.
Here's why and how to avoid it.

It happens every year. The weather breaks, runners double their mileage in two weeks, and by late April something breaks down.

It's not because they ran too much. It's because they ramped faster than their tissue could adapt.

Swipe to understand the progression most runners skip and how to build a spring training block that actually holds together.

Is it okay to keep training if it still hurts?
Usually yes. Here's how to know.

This is the most common question we get. And the answer is almost always: yes, with the right adjustments.

Pain during training is a signal, not a stop sign. It tells you something needs to change — the load, the range, the volume, or the movement pattern. It rarely means you need to stop entirely.

The mistake most people make is swinging between two extremes. They either push through and make it worse, or they stop completely and lose fitness while the underlying problem stays exactly where it was.

At Fuel we help you find the middle path.

Keep training.
Fix the actual problem.
Come out stronger than before.

Modify, don't stop.

Being the injured one in your gym, on your team, in your group — it's not just physical. We know.

The hardest part of an injury isn't the pain.

It's watching everyone else train while you can't. It's losing the thing that makes you feel like yourself. It's the mental toll of not knowing when it ends.

We work with active adults and athletes who refuse to accept that as permanent.

Because it doesn't have to be.

Five things that happen at every Fuel evaluation:

1. We watch you perform the actual movement that's causing pain.
2. We assess the full chain — not just the site of pain.
3. We explain exactly what we're finding as we find it.
4. You leave with a clear diagnosis and a written plan.
5. Your next visit is with the same DPT. Not whoever's available.

That's the Fuel Standard.

Recover. Rebuild. Redefine.

Looking for the best evaluation you’ve ever had? Look no further, give us a call today.

'Cleared for sport' should mean more than 'it doesn't hurt anymore.'

Pain-free is the baseline. It's not the finish line.

When an athlete is cleared based only on pain levels, they go back to sport with a body that hasn't been tested under the demands of the game.

That's why re-injury rates are so high.

Swipe to see what objective return-to-sport testing actually looks like — and why it matters for your athlete.

Every overhead press used to come with a side of shoulder pain. Not anymore.

George had modified his overhead work for two years. Couldn't press without pain. Tried two other providers. Nothing changed.

We watched him press. Found the thoracic stiffness limiting his scapular movement. Loaded it progressively.

Six weeks. Pain-free overhead press.

He's not managing it anymore. He fixed it.

Imagine still running at 55 with people half your age. That's not luck. That's a plan.

The athletes who stay active into their 50s and 60s aren't genetically lucky.

They addressed their weak links before they became chronic problems. They built capacity instead of just managing symptoms. They stopped accepting 'this is just what getting older feels like.'

That's what we do at Fuel.

The most common reason golfers skip a movement screen before the season: they feel fine.

Here’s the thing — feeling fine and moving well are not the same thing.

The golf swing compensates. Your body finds a way to get the club through the ball even when something isn’t moving the way it should.

You won’t feel that.

You’ll feel it six weeks into the season when the hip starts barking, or the shoulder that “always gets a little sore” actually becomes a problem.

The golfers who stay on the course all season aren’t lucky.

They got ahead of it.

Our TPI Certified PT runs a full movement screen as part of the $50 golf evaluation.

That screen catches what you can’t feel yet — the restrictions, the asymmetries, the patterns that show up as injuries later.

Offer closes April 21. This is the last week to book.

Comment “GOLF” and we’ll send you the link directly, or find it in our bio.

Running injuries aren't caused by running too much. They're caused by running more than your body is prepared for.

The probably usually isn’t 'too much running' for a body that's properly prepared for it.

The problem isn't the mileage. It's the gap between what you're asking your body to do and what it currently has the capacity to handle.

Swipe to understand how load management actually works — and how to build a body that handles more, not less.
