Sweet, sweet friends....today was the 6 month Anniversary of my life changing & life saving kidney transplant. I'll never be able to adequately express my ongoing & deep gratitude for my beautiful, courageous, selfless, fiesty donor & super shero Diane....not a day goes by I don't feel her gift or her love. Thank you to her hubby Randy too. There are four other incredible people who were generous & kind enough to go through all the rigorous testing to see if they were a match for me. Thank you all....Elena, Dorothy, Bill & Val....& to everyone's best friend Vern. Without Vern (& Larry), Diane & I may not have crossed paths again. (Cowabunga!) Without Sonya, I may never have met Elena. (Another Cowabunga!) Without Lindsay, I would never have met Dorothy & Bill. Without my friend Brenda, I never would have gotten to know Val. And to the enormous medical team who were & are dedicated & passionate about saving lives. You're each such a gigantic part of our kidney transplant journey. To my precious family who shared every challenging, often hopeless & scary moment...Seany, Lauren & Keira...I'm beyond lucky to have you as the centers of my life. You are my everything. And to you...my beloved friends. You never gave up. You visited, sent cards, sent gifts, sent texts & messages, called, brought coffee & treats, brought food & sent bouquets of fresh flowers. I would have lost all hope without your friendship & steadfast encouragement. Life is so, so sweet....even through all the dark times. You're all like bright stars in the night sky to me & I adore you all. (I know...very mushy but oh so true). Love & big, big hugs to everyone. xo
