Hey everyone! Quick update, Mom had another biopsy done on the new kidney yesterday and the results were pretty positive. It shows improvement in the tissue and it appears that her function is starting to pick up. She has been getting some pretty intense treatments that are to block her body from attacking the kidney so she is resting as much as she can. All the prayers and good thoughts are definitely working so keep them coming please! I will let you know when we know more 🩷

Hey everyone, just a quick update on my Mom. On Wednesday her numbers were off and she went to the ER to be admitted so they could get it under control. Her numbers and a biopsy of the new kidney did indicate that she was in rejection. The doctors feel hopeful that they can save it, and in the meantime she has been doing dialysis the last couple days. Her outlooks has been pretty positive in the light of what’s happening, but I’m sure as always your prayers and thoughts will just lift her spirits ☀️ I will keep you posted as we learn more 🩷

Here are a bunch of photos I meant to add earlier from this whole journey. Both Jody and Diane are healing well and Diane has her check up tomorrow before flying home. It has been a hell of a week with so many emotions and happy tears. But this is the first time in the last couple years I have left Colorado feeling confident that my mom is moving in a positive direction 🩷 we are all in awe of this whole experience and the generosity of Diane and her family.

Hi Friends! It’s the final countdown to Transplant day! As we speak Diane and her husband are in the air on the way here! Keira is making her special tomato basil soup for all of us to enjoy and we are trying to keep nerves to a minimum. We will have an early morning with a check in time at 6:30am and then Diane will head back for her portion of the surgery before calling Jody back. All said and done it should be a relatively quick procedure not taking more than 4 hours. We will try to keep everyone posted as things progress. 🩷

On a side note: If anyone is wanting to send flowers or cards I can send you the address, just message us and I can get it to you! Thank you everyone for the support and we can’t wait to start our new chapter!

Love,
Lauren
