At our Jefferson County Drivers Meeting last night, we recognized two drivers for outstanding service. Daureen Allison and Kevin Kurtz. Daureen was recently nominated for Lytx Driver of the Year among thousands of drivers and companies across the country who utilize Lytx Safety Drive Cam's in their fleet vehicles. She has earned a zero risk score for over 6 quarters earning her the nomination. And we also recognized Kevin, who won the Health Ride first Quarter 2026 Driver Excellence Award! Congrats to Daureen and Kevin and their excellent service and performance. Proud to have them on our Team! Daureen and Kevin are pictured with Director of Operations, Mark Prasko.

Health Ride Plus is a para-transit transportation company founded as a service of Tri-County Transportation (a school student transportation company) in 1997. Health Ride’s focus was the transportation of individuals to medical services and of those with special needs. The Health Ride division continued to grow and in July of 2012, Health Ride became its own independent company known as Health Ride Plus, Inc. For over 20 years, Health Ride has been offering safe, affordable and reliable para-transit transportation services.
Health Ride started with just two vehicles and has since grown into a fleet of over 130 vehicles with 150 staff. We offer ambulatory, wheelchair and stretcher van transportation. Services are available in 13 counties throughout West/Central Pennsylvania. Health Ride Plus is licensed under the Public Utilities Commission, and is an approved provider under the Medical Assistance Program and the PA Department of Aging and Department of Human Services Waiver Programs. Despite its growth and success, Health Ride still maintains a home town company feel with family ownership and a personalized focus to service. Our home office is located in Northern Cambria, Pa and in 2019 we opened a branch office in Coudersport, Pa to help serve the Northern Tier counties.
Health Ride specializes in getting people where they need to go. Health Ride offers Long Term Care Organizations, Medical Facilities and Rehabilitation Centers opportunities for volume transportation discounts. Health Ride assists in thousands of transports each year, helping people get to everything from medical appointments, to therapy, to employment, to training and support programs, to family reunions and social events. Health Ride accepts a wide variety of payment options including, insurance, Medical Assistance and private pay with available debit or credit card methods.
