Employee Spotlight: Meet Heather!

We're excited to shine a light on Heather, who has been part of our activities team for the past six months! Her infectious energy and team spirit have made a positive impact on our community.

Heather is a sports enthusiast who loves playing softball and cheering on her favorite football teams. When she’s not on the field or watching the game, you can find her enjoying time on the water at Marshfield Dam, having a cozy fire, or making wonderful memories with her family, friends, and especially her grandkids.

With a passion for helping others, Heather also enjoys cooking and sharing delicious meals. Music fills her heart, and she loves cruising in her Jeep during the summer.

This past weekend Mayo was alive with laughter and cheer as we hosted our annual Watermelon Eating Contest! The event brought together residents, and staff, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with community spirit and friendly competition.

As the sun shone brightly, participants of all ages gathered in our courtyard, ready to dive into delicious slices of watermelon. The air was filled with the delightful scent of fresh fruit, and the sound of laughter echoed as contestants took their places at the tables.

It was pure joy to see smiles all around as participants cheered each other on!

Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! Today at Mayo, our daycare kids had a blast baking delicious chocolate chip cookies with our wonderful residents. There’s nothing quite like the warm aroma of fresh cookies from Nana’s kitchen after some fun and games!

A big shoutout to our amazing housekeeper, Ethan! For the past year and a half, he has been a vital part of our housekeeping team, bringing kindness and dedication to every task. While juggling his job, Ethan is also working hard to earn his bachelor's in business administration, with plans to pursue a master's in accounting to become a financial advisor.

His ambition is truly inspiring! When he’s not studying or working to support our residents, you can find him enjoying the great outdoors; hiking, swimming, and camping with his beautiful fiancé. Thank you, Ethan, for all that you do! Your hard work and positive spirit make a difference every day.

What a Splashing Day at the Kids Pool Party!

Today was all about fun and laughter as the kids and residents cooled off in the sprinklers! It was al much fun watching the kids splashed around, play games, and make the most of this beautiful summer day.

After all that excitement, everyone took a break to make delicious PB&J sandwiches and enjoy refreshing lemonade and sweet watermelon! It was the perfect summer snack to keep the energy up for more fun!

Oh, how we wish these sunny summer days could last forever! Thank you to everyone who joined in on the fun and made today so special. We love our daycare kids!

What a fantastic day we had at our cruise luncheon! We indulged in delicious lazy man lobster, creamy coleslaw, flavorful potato salad, homemade cheese and oldbay biscuits and melted butter, pure bliss! 🍽️🦞

The fun didn’t stop there! After our amazing lunch, we dove into a pearl party, opening oysters and discovering our very own beautiful pearls! Each one is a treasure.
