I have always been passionate about all things pregnancy and birth. My own personal struggles of entering into motherhood have propelled me to share my expertise and passion with families in my community. You are not alone. If you are looking for someone to come alongside you, encourage you, and be a part of your team during this transition, that's what I am here for! You got this Mama!

I am not super active here on FB (more so on Instagram) but am often doing events and seeing families, so don't take the inactivity as me being inavailable to support you with feeding or sleep needs postpartum! I am actively serving moms, babies + families in concord + the lakes while spending time with my own family so not as much time for social media 🥰

Any questions, send me an email amanda.gilman@themamacoach.com

Not ready for the time change this weekend? Join the club! 😆

As a parent, and infant sleep consultant I’m here to say: it’s okay to feel unprepared for this yearly ritual! I have been living here for years and still dread it!

Tips for newborn parents: skip the stress and just ignore the time change entirely! Babies will adjust naturally when we follow their cues.

For older babies and toddlers, here’s my recommendations:

* If your kiddo’s snoozing, leave them to it! The later they wake, the easier it’ll be to hold onto that regular nap time

* Morning light works wonders for resetting that little internal clock, so try to get them outside.

* Stretch their first wake period---I know, easier said than done, but do what you can, I promise it will help! Aim for their usual nap time, even if you’re stretching it by just 10–15 minutes.

If things go awry, remember this weekend is like a “sleep experiment,” and there’s always coffee (or FIZZ) I officially lost naptime last year, and we’re winging it with no prep! 😅 I’m fully ready for some early wake-ups, but I know those little circadian rhythms will settle soon enough!

What started nearly 3 years ago as a calling to fill the gaps in our community has transformed into so much more than I could have expected. In my advocacy for families there have been both happy tears and heartbreak along the way and although many would likely have quit on their mission, I'm nowhere near done yet.
I’m thrilled to share that I will officially have a full-time home in Tilton at .nh a shared space designed for resources, connection and support. This space will foster collaboration, innovation, and healing, bringing together like-minded individuals who are passionate about supporting families on their birth and parenting journey creating a community for families to thrive.

will be there as well offering OT services, which is exciting and there is so much more growth and collaboration to come, so stay tuned!

To everyone who has been a supportive part of this journey, and to the clients and families who continue to inspire me...I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in this new chapter! 💙

Go on over and give .nh a follow and please share this community resource with your network!

Reflecting on this journey fills my heart with gratitude. From the beginning, my mission was clear: to fill the gaps and provide innovative and modern support to growing families.

As I look back, I am thankful for the incredible mothers who have entrusted me with their care. Your smiles, vulnerability and trust have defined the success of these two years.

This is just the beginning and I am excited about the future! I'm diving into perinatal improvement projects, advocacy, and partnerships to continue to make positive change.

Check out my most recent blog post I wrote for more details on my gratitude that The Mama Coach continues to bloom in this community and advocate for needed change.

Thank you for being here + Cheering me on, it means more than you will ever know!

6️⃣ mothers in the last month I have recommended seek 1:1 Postpartum Mental Health Services.

Was it because I was concerned about them harming themselves or their baby? NO. Did they look any different than any other mother? NO.
💗 I could clearly see their love for their babies, and took the time to ASK & LISTEN to their experience in their transition to
Parenthood and learn how they were coping.

Did you know that the majority of maternal deaths are preventable? & That Mental Health is one of the top causes?
Without truly sitting down to ask how they are doing, and asking them a second and even a third time- you may never know a new Mom's internal struggles. She is being strong for her child(ren) and hoping someone will ask her how she is.

Becoming a parent, is a hard transition with many highs and lows, and despite having a kickass support system, unbiased support and conversation validating all you are going through is so beneficial.

I am so thankful when I get messages like these that remind me what I am doing matters 🙌

➡️If you know or work with a pregnant or postpartum mother, or heck- a parent of a young child- ASK THEM HOW THEY ARE DOING & ASK THEM AGAIN!

➡️Please share this post to help break the stigma about maternal mental health, and normalize not being okay and needing support on your journey.

➡️If you are struggling with postpartum depression, anxiety or processing your birth/postpartum experience please see my bio for the link to .support aka Postpartum Support International, a large resource for families to find the support they need & as always, I hope you find me a safe space to turn to.

➡️Follow .themamacoach For more support for your birth & early parenting journey.
