At AFG Guidance Center, we are proud to offer psychiatric care that is 100% physician-led. Our psychiatrists provide expert, personalized treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. We strongly believe this physician-only model ensures the highest standard of psychiatric care. In addition to traditional medication management, our psychiatrists also offer advanced treatments such as Spravato® (esketamine), and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
We’re also proud to be one of the only clinics on the North Shore of Chicago with a team of six psychiatrists working on-site in the same location. This unique setup fosters a collaborative environment and allows us to provide more coordinated, accessible, and continuous care.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Emily Lelchuk to our growing team. Dr. Lelchuk is an Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatrist who brings both clinical expertise and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Emily Lelchuk, M.D.
I am a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist. I completed my psychiatry residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Child and Adolescent Fellowship at the University of Iowa. I have extensive experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, tics, and trauma-related disorders.
Mental health isn’t just about managing symptoms—it’s about nurturing the whole person. My treatment philosophy involves combining therapeutic methods, family support, lifestyle modifications, and medication (when appropriate). I’m committed to building a partnership with patients and families, where trust and open communication are key to achieving real, sustainable progress.
As a mom myself, I understand the importance of finding balance and emotional well-being in daily life.
