Northfield Pharmacy

Job Details:
Pharmacy technician to work 30-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include: ringing out customers, stocking shelves, answering phones, prescription filling, local deliveries, and providing satisfactory customer service.
Availability for weekend shifts is a must.
We are looking for energetic employees who are ready to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

Required:
17 years or older

Preferred skills:
Experience in the medical and/or retail field.
Confidence with computers and problems solving skills.
Willing to pursue national pharmacy technician certification within 24 months.

Pharmacy Details:
We provide professional service with a hometown touch.
Open 9am-6pm weekdays, 9am-2pm Sat

I’m sure many of you read or heard about the horrific wrong way accident on 89 that occurred December 18. Hailey was a Northfield resident. She was 21 years old. 💔 she was part of our Pharm Fam through her boyfriend Hustin, who is an employee at the pharmacy. Hailey attended many of our pharmacy events. She was loved by all and is so missed.

Big news for our small-town pharmacy!

After decades of service—beginning at age 12, through pharmacy school, and into ownership—Jill Donahue has recently retired. Jill has been the heart of this pharmacy for generations, and our community is endlessly grateful for her dedication.
We’re excited to welcome Kyle Maxwell as the new owner! Kyle owns two other community pharmacies here in Vermont and brings a deep commitment to patient-centered care. We’re especially grateful that Jill chose to pass the torch to someone who shares her love for small-town values and is dedicated to keeping our pharmacy locally owned—not part of a large chain.

Express Script/Cigna update:
Many of you have received letters informing you that our pharmacy would no longer be participating in your ESI pharmacy insurance next year. It is true that we could not sign the original contract we were presented; it would have resulted in a significant number of unsustainable below cost claims. Our new owner, Kyle Maxwell, has been diligently working to renegotiate on our behalf. I am happy to report that he was successful in getting a slightly more favorable contract and we can keep serving our wonderful local community.
