When family secrets surface, therapists need practical strategies to guide clients through DNA discoveries and the relational challenges they bring. Join Sheridan Anderson, LPCC on Friday, February 28th 10 am - 12:45 pm as she delves into the complexities of DNA surprises 🧬. This seminar addresses the emotional and relational impacts of misattributed parentage, donor conception, and adoption, providing practical tools for therapists to guide clients through identity shifts, shame, and family dynamics. With the increase of DNA test availability, Pew Research Center has also published that “about four-in-ten DNA test users (38%) say they were surprised by what their DNA test results showed”. Gain strategies to create a supportive therapeutic environment and foster client growth.
