Since 1952, the vision and passion of Leonard Astrup, founder of Sterling, has directed our dedicated approach to patient care.

Operating an independent pharmacy today looks drastically different than it did in 1952. Every year brings new challenges, and pharmacy owners must constantly react and adapt to continue offering quality care. This need for innovation has led to the creation of Astrup Companies, which works to respond to the needs of our ever-evolving industry to help independent pharmacies provide five-star pharmacy care for all.

Today, our family of companies has grown to encompass 17 independent community pharmacies, four long-term care pharmacies, a state-of-the-art specialty pharmacy, a nationwide wholesale pharmacy buying group, a payroll and human resources solutions provider, and a charitable foundation dedicated to giving back to the communities we collectively serve. As we continue to look toward the future, Astrup Companies remains united by a singular purpose: to be innovators in independent pharmacy care.
